January has been a good month for sport lovers. From AFCON 2017, to the Australian open to the upcoming Wellingtons Sevens, the world of sport is a gift that keeps on giving to all fans. All the action in sports can be caught live on DSTV and below are schedules carrying some of the events that will be broadcast on DSTV.
Football, cricket and tennis fans will be interested in checking out KEY LIVE SPORTING EVENTS ON DStv 19 Jan – 29 Jan. With the EPL coming to the screen this weekend, football fans will be looking forward to the clash between Manchester City and Tottenham, a match which promises to deliver some fireworks. Log leaders Chelsea will host Hull City at Stamford Bridge while title contenders Liverpool and Arsenal face Swansea and Burnley respectively. In La Liga, table toppers Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back from two consecutive loses when the face Malaga at the Bernabeu. 2nd placed Sevilla, who sit one point behind Real Madrid will be away against Osasuna while Barcelona is away at the Municipal de Ipurua versus Eibar.
In the world of Cricket, there’ll be a feast of T20 cricket as South Africa take on Sri Lanka in three T20 matches, the first of which is on Friday the 20th of January. The test match between New Zealand and Bangladesh will be ongoing between the 19th and the 23rd. India will take on England in their 3rd ODI on Sunday the 22nd of January. In Boxing, there’ll be a WBA Featherweight Title Rematch between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz. The Australian Open will also continue live on DSTV.
