DRC Ranked Better Than Zimbabwe On Forbes’ Best Countries For Business 2018

Zimbabwe has been rated below the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Forbes’ Best Countries for Business 2018 despite the fact that the later is war-torn with United Nations peacekeepers being attacked.

DRC is ranked at number 33 in Africa and 141 on the world’s map while Zimbabwe takes 36 as the continental position and 145 globally.

The country that leads Africa on the list is Mauritius which takes 41 on world list. The African island is followed by South Africa (48) and Botswana (76) comes third. Rwanda (79) and Seychelles (82) also appear in Africa top five.

On world’s rank, the United Kingdom is at the top followed by New Zealand. Netherlands, Sweden and Canada also land in the top five of the worlds’ rankings according to Forbes Africa.

Despite the fact that Zimbabwe does not appear in the top hundred of Forbes’ Best Countries for Business 2018, the nation has been initiating programs to allow easy flow in investing. Zimbabwe recently was initiating 100 days easy of doing business in order to reduce the procedures of starting companies in the country.

This has seen some of the complexities of border posts for importing being made easy although delays are being experienced. Last year Zimbabwe made some progress in the easy of doing business as it made a positive move from 161 out of 190 economies in 2016 to 159 in 2017.
