Bhizimusi Celebrates: Nkosana Mazibisa

Nkosana Mazibisa is the 28 year old Zimbabwean Founder of Mazibisa Inc.

Mazibisa was born in the heart of what used to be Zimbabwe’s industrial town, Bulawayo, in 1988.  The idea of fixing the world dawned on him in his high school debate team in Bulawayo.  “The country was collapsing and we had a debate at school about these issues and how to solve them.” When it was over, everyone went home and continued with their lives, but not Mazibisa. “I knew that I had to do my bit to make a difference. That’s why I decided to start a business to solve the unemployment problems we have and revive our industries.”

He founded a food retail brand, Swaad “The Taste of India,” and Mazibisa Inc., a brand strategy consultancy firm in Bulawayo.

Nkosana Mazibisa has over three years’ proven experience in effectively developing, managing, and controlling relationships between companies and their target audiences and previously worked as group marketing and brand-development manager for Amavulindlela Empowerment Corporation.  A renowned strategist specialising in marketing and strategic communications, Nkosana has experience in strategic planning and communication. He has participated in a number of national blueprints, including the current Zimbabwe National Youth Policy, and is a force to be reckoned with in business intelligence.

The budding Zimbabwean businessman, was last year honoured by Forbes Africa Magazine as one of the 30 most promising young entrepreneurs on the continent alongside 30 other flourishing young African entrepreneurs under the age of 30 from South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Benin among others. Mazibisa’s recent recognition comes in the wake of yet another milestone as one of the 60 young Zimbabweans picked for the Mandela Washington Fellowship to undergo eight weeks of training in civic and business leadership in the U.S June 2016.

To date Nkosana’s Consultancy continues to offer services to business and and potential entrepreneurs alike in his hometown Bulawayo. In a recent Facebook Post he announced :

“It is with great pleasure to announce to you that in one week time we will be offering mentor-ship program to 20 people in Bulawayo every fortnight, who want to be better entrepreneurs,learn how to pitch, business networking and apply the Human centered design.if the program is successful we will increase the number,new cities and time.
