August 24 – September 3, 2017
The Pacific Canada Experience with Rotaract (PACE) is a round trip that fosters global Rotaract ties and provides an authentic experience of Canada’s multiculturalism while facilitating international friendships.
Spearheaded by Rotaract 5040, and in partnership with Rotaract 5020 and 5050, 6 international Rotactors will partake in activities highlighting our unique mix of nature, city and eco-friendly living. Kayaking around Vancouver, hiking the Grouse Grind, touring Victoria (the capital city of British Columbia), exploring Whistler Village and volunteering locally with district Rotaractors are just a few of the exciting events planned for this 10-day program.
Six Rotaractors from around the world, ages 19-30, will be invited to join us on a trip of a lifetime with PACE following a successful application process. Participants should arrive by the evening of Thursday, August 24th to be ready to start the program the morning of Friday, August 25, and depart on Monday, September 4th, 2017.
Through sponsorship from Rotaract District 5040 and local Rotary Clubs, PACE 2016 will cost each participant $365 CAD. This fee covers 3 meals daily, activity fees, accommodation and transportation. Personal expenses – such as souvenirs, roundtrip airfare and international health insurance – are not included in the participation fee.
Past year’s plans included visiting the following cities: Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Victoria, Squamish, Whistler, North Vancouver, Coquitlam and Port Moody.
