Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has seized Mayor Wadyajena‘s “noise making” lamborghini amongst other assets after an alleged fraud case and laundering case involving US$5 million.

Other assets include a BMW X6 and 22 haulage truck.

ZACC used the Section 136 of the Criminal Law Act Chpter 9:23 to take control of the vehicles.

The Act allows seizure of property if it appears to a judge or magistrate that property in possession or under control of any person is required as evidence in court proceedings.

The legislator is jointly charged with Cotton Company (COTTCO) officials Pius Manamike, Maxmore Njanji, Fortunate Molai and Chiedza Danha, a director in Pierpont Moncroix.

Local reports say ZACC and police launched an investigation involving cotton farming inputs which were stocked at a warehouse in Gokwe allegedly linked to Wadyajena.

Police raided the warehouse and confiscated cotton farming inputs.

Court papers say Wadyajena and his colleagues allegedly imported 25 vehicles instead of importing the bales for Cottco.

Wadyajena recently faced allegations from residents in Borrowdale Brooke who complained that the legislator spent more than three hours making noise pollution with his Lamboghini in the middle of the night.

The Borrowdale Brooke Golf Estate Chairman Shingi Munyeza wrote a letter in May reprimanding Wadyajena over the incident.
